On Saturday, a few days before my parents left home for England early this morning, we went to Teluk Chempedak beach for a relaxing stroll.
Teluk Chempedak is one of my favourite places in Kuantan. It's just a 15-minute drive down the road from my house, there is sun, sea and sand, tall trees, monkeys, seashells and lots of rocks. Even better, I got to spend my time there with my family.
After McDonalds we made our way to the beach front
This is the view down the promenade at Teluk Chempedak
The low sun streaked across the sand
Photographs at Teluk Chempedak beach always stay long in the memory. Beaches are such beautiful places to capture images.
I like this picture a lot!
3 generations, born in different eras of time, all together at Teluk Chempedak beach, Kuantan.
Lauren with her grandparents
The sea was rather turbulent after the storm which finished just moments after we arrived.
Look what my mum found...
Enjoying being at Teluk Chempedak beach!

I understand why you like this place! And your photos are beautiful, so many memories your parents are taking with them back home.
ReplyDeleteHi Duncan! I love the pictures of your part of the world, made even happier by the sight of you with your parents. Indeed those photographs showing the profile angles are worth printing and framing in your home. How wonderful to share this time in your life with your parents. And wow! Your brother and your father look so much alike...
ReplyDeleteIt surely is a wonderful place and your photos show us this!
ReplyDeleteReally nice photos of T.C.,Duncan. They bring back so many fond memories for me of the place. Haven't been to T.C for some years now, but plan to one of these days. That picture of the dead tree trunk? looks like a turtle. Really nice. And the family photos are so well done, immediate and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMarie, yes they will have many great memories, especially of their first 2 grandchildren!
ReplyDeletekneesandpaws, those two pictures would look great framed, I agree! The older my brother gets, the more I think he looks like my dad!
Thanks Traveling Hawk!
ordinary malaysian, thanks, and hope to see you in Kuantan sometime :)
That looks like just the kind of place I would like to be right now.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely family.
We all need a beach at times, don't we? Thanks Missed Periods!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place and, as usual, fabulous photographs. Your family, especially Lauren, are lovely but my favourite photo is the one of the calmer rolling waves (the 8th picture down from the top).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. That envy of living in a beautiful place. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteNow let me get this straight--you were at McDonald's? Do you mean the clown hamburger place? Are you telling us that they have McDonald's in this beautiful place? You mean you can actually get a "Cheeseburger in Paradise"?

Stunning photos Duncan. You look very like your dad and just a little like a young George Harrison. Your daughter is a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteRosalind, my mum could sit and watch the rolling waves all day long if she had the time!
ReplyDeleteLeovi, this beach really is beautiful - perhaps you could come over for your next holiday :)
Arlee, erm...yes...There are a handful of McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut's here, amongst others. It's nice to have a McFlurry at the beach on a hot day :)
Bish, you're the first person to tell me I look a little like George Harrison! It must be a very young George Harrison!
You've also captured a beautiful evening light.
ReplyDeleteHey Duncan!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures as usual.
I've given you a BLOG AWARD and you can drop by anytime you're free to get it. Hopefully it helps to brighten up your day. :)
