A burly commander did everything for going home in January - kind letters mentioning numerous obstacles, privately quoting receiving some therapy under very worrying x-rays yielding zimmerframes.

You got me with anchovies and avocados. Great theme and it's cool to have the video as well. You're off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteIt'll still be a few hours before my posts go up. It's a rainy Saturday night here in L.A.

Brilliant start.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture.
Great idea for paragraph and the vid was fun too.
I should stop getting surprised as how reactions get invoked with a few words. Appetising and Anchovies do not go in the same sentance ;)
I'm not surprised you got comments. I'm sure you'll get lots.
I can surely see you put a lot of thought into this challenge Duncan. Loved the video and using Lauren was a great idea as well. Can't wait to see what comes up next. Have a great week.

What a great theme - short but sweet. I bet some of them were quite the challenge to write. I love the photo idea. My kids get excited when they help with, or appear in, my posts too.
ReplyDeleteIf I survive to try this again next year, I'll highlight this year's posts on the side bar like you did. Thanks for the idea.
Good luck in April.
A wonderful idea! Thanks for dropping by mine, too.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Almost... anchovies are awful.
ReplyDeleteThat was still pretty cool! Great to meet you!

What a great creative start, Duncan!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. I'm glad you're participating in the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
Ah, I get it. You never came back to enter my contest last year with this style of paragraph, so you decided to make up for it with 26 of them, right? :)
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Duncan. Andan adorable picture, too. Looking forward to see what other tales you tell...
I had do do an assignment like this in my English class. It was fun, but I don't think I'd want to repeat the experience. I'm impressed with your effort though.
ReplyDeleteDuncan: I love the videos! I'm also a big fan of alliteration. Great idea for the challenge!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent and original dual challenge, and very hard just to reach true masters of the language. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at all the lovely comments I've had here. Thanks to each and every one of you who have taken the time and effort to leave me a comment.
ReplyDeleteJust to respond to a few of you who mentioned the anchovies from my video - I think anchovies are delicious! Perhaps we eat them differently here in Malaysia. Here they are dried and fried and taste salty and crispy - gorgeous!
Great post, and your little girl is darling.

Holy cow, I think this is the toughest theme I've seen so far. Those daily paragraphs with each of the different letters must be killer to come up with.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with this, Jocelyn
Excellent post, you have a way with letters. I'll bet you are an expert Scrabble player.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is absolutely precious.
Thanks Joyce and Cherie!
ReplyDeleteHi Betty, I guess they do, and I love them!
Hi Dawn, the best way to consume anchovies is dried and fried!
Jocelyn, it was tremendously challenging, but I love a challenge!
Anthony, I see myself as quite an adept scrabble player!
