For those of you who may be interested in this blog's statistics, *Our home called Kuantan* is closing in on 150,000 page views, which should be reached by next weekend.

So this gives me the opportunity to thank each and every visitor to my blog, whether I know you or not, whether you drop a comment or not, whether you are old or new followers. Thank you for visiting and showing an interest in what I have to offer. It's been great getting to know a lot of you better!

This leads me in to an announcement for next week. It's my 30th birthday coming up on Tuesday and I'll be having a guest blogger on Wednesday. Leovi is a talented guy and I'm really pleased that he'll be heading here next week to show his amazing work to you!

Blog Flashbacks Saturday

I hope you're all having a great start to the weekend. For me it's a sunny Saturday morning, doing some laundry and attending to my youngest daughter's teeth coming through accompanied by a mild fever.

If you're up for a bit of reading this weekend, try out my blog post from a year ago, back in March, 2011. I wrote an essay which I had previously given to my English students.

Exactly two years ago to the day I blogged about some images I had snapped during the previous week. They are all of Bukit Sekilau where I live. Here is one as a taster. Click the link if you'd like to see more!

A Saturday BBQ on Day 5

After my afternoon tuition classes ended at 6pm we set up the BBQ and got it burning.

We barbecued chicken wings, sausages and prawns, and later held some marshmallows over the fire!

We had some honey to spread over the food...

Our little BBQ stand performed well on our little balcony. 

A lovely meal all round. My parents prepared some salad to compliment the meat. Drinks of pepsi and revive washed it all down.

For entertainment afterwards, my dad and I used a watergun and the hose pipe to spray intruding cats and (regrettably) rats, scrummaging around for food in the bins. We were successful!
