Blog-hop Saturday (13 Oct, 2012)

For those of you who may be interested in this blog's statistics, *Our home called Kuantan* is closing in on 150,000 page views, which should be reached by next weekend.

So this gives me the opportunity to thank each and every visitor to my blog, whether I know you or not, whether you drop a comment or not, whether you are old or new followers. Thank you for visiting and showing an interest in what I have to offer. It's been great getting to know a lot of you better!

This leads me in to an announcement for next week. It's my 30th birthday coming up on Tuesday and I'll be having a guest blogger on Wednesday. Leovi is a talented guy and I'm really pleased that he'll be heading here next week to show his amazing work to you!

Today it's blog-hop Saturday where I show you around some of my other blogs.

First up is Horne Learning Services. Our English learning company is growing with new students filling up our classes. In the most recent post, I'm discussing the important factors that make up composing a great essay.

Over at my Kuantan nature blog you can view a couple of hot pink flowers gracing the roadside.

And finally you can browse my participation in Teaser Tuesday over at Dan Brown Portalmy reading blog dedicated to Dan Brown and other good books.

I hope you enjoy your tour of my blogs. Do drop a comment on any of my blogs to let me know what you liked. Wishing you a great weekend!

The Law of Success

Is there some "magic" law that brings success, or are there certain rules and principles which if followed, will bring success?

Today I'm posting at Dan Brown Portal about Napoleon Hill's "The Law of Success".

Have you read the book? Would you like to? Hop over to the blog and let me know!

Wherever you are, have a great Tuesday!

Novel

I'm certainly no professional, but I've been writing a novel on and off for around four years now. I love writing - it's the way I express myself - but I've never ventured further than poems, articles and essays.

I felt the need for a greater challenge and so I currently have over 60 chapters of a first draft in a blue paper folder which I review and add to from time to time.

It all started whilst I was travelling back to Kuantan with my wife, from KL, when we were resting by the side of the highway. I suddenly had the idea for an entire novel , and that's where the book begins - by the side of the highway en route to Kuantan.

It's really inspiration that fuels my writing. I'm not able to sit down and just write every day in a scheduled manner. That sounds too similar to school and I didn't enjoy that! It only comes when a flash of inspiration arrives, when something triggers my imagination. I sometimes wonder whether my first draft will ever be completed.

Writing a novel is a daunting task, but I must say that I've come across some excellent blogs, who have provided some very helpful hints, tips and advice during this A-Z challenge.

Misha is a fantasy author who has finished her first draft.

N. R. Williams is selling her book entitled "The Treasures of Carmelidrium" for just 99 cents until the end of April 2011.

Paul Joseph has a well written blog and he's working on his YA fiction

Lynda R. Young gives writing tips on her blog

Margo Kelly is busy writing books

Rosalind Adam is my friend from Leicester, England, my hometown, and has published a number of books

What are some of your favourite blogs? Leave the link and I'd love to check them out!
