We recently purchased a Canon EOS 650D DSLR camera to replace our Sony Cybershot point-and-shoot model.

The Canon EOS 650D |
We are very excited and have been enjoying experimenting with it and trying to learn all about these pro cameras.
|
The best feature of the Canon EOS 650D is this beautiful flexible touchscreen, the first of its kind on a DSLR camera |
We took a few shots of the children (they are such apt and willing models), and I went for a walk this morning to test out the Canon EOS 650D with some nature landscapes.

ReplyDeleteWonderful camera, I also want a well. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteDuncan -that does look like a fantastic camera, and I'm sure you will learn about it much more quickly than I did mine! I still use the Auto setting most of the time! I am intrigued - there is a comment above from thisisme (no photo) - but I definitely did NOT leave that comment. I sure hope that no one is posing as me! :(
ReplyDeleteYou are a happy bunny now, honey!!
ReplyDeleteDiane, don't worry, it's actually my sis-in-law!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upgrade!
ReplyDeleteLovely captures!
I wish I had a camera that good. Mine barely gets the job done.
ReplyDeletePhew!!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are beautiful! I wouldn't mind something beyond a point-and-shoot:) Great camera and captures.

That looks like a great camera. Take plenty of photos of L & L, they grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteBest to you all.
Hi Duncan ... Great to see your new Canon. I purchased the Canon D600 earlier this year and have loved using it. The flip screen is a big bonus.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's one cool cam, man! With this pro, I think you will be able to capture real nice close ups of the moon. Waiting to see you do a new post on the orb in the sky that poets wax lyrical on or is it over, Duncan.
ReplyDeleteGreat buy, it's a very good camera for its price. Did you buy the 18-55 lens? What package did you get? Cheers :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have many happy days with your new camera, it looks a real beauty! I'm looking forward to seeing some super shots from you... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the replies. I am really happy and terribly excited to experiment with the camera! To answer John, I bought the camera with the 18-55mm lens kit, which is basic, but I need to learn how to fully use it first. The other lenses out there will cost another RM3,000!
ReplyDeleteA very good buy and i am sure you will soon have many beautiful photos to share.
