A man burns rubbish by the roadside at the foot of Bukit Bay Route. Disposal of rubbish is a tricky dilemma in Malaysia. Mass burnings from Indonesia each year brings thick haze to many parts of Malaysia.

After a long and arduous climb Siva and I arrived at the top of the hill. We were greeted by this view of Kuantan, looking over the myriad graves smothering the face of the hill.

A photograph a day from Kuantan: #1 Bukit Bay Route
I dream of one day flying down this hill on my trusty bicycle! What a ride that would be. I walked up this hill (bukit=hill in Malay) with my friend Siva and it was rather taxing! Heard a few noises from the bushes on the left side which startled me a little!
Tomorrow: the view from the top...
