Letter to Kuantan Town Council

After hearing my students respond to the question, "How can we make Kuantan a better place?" in last week's English classes, I decided to compile their responses in to a letter written to the Kuantan Town Council (Majlis Perbandaran, Kuantan, or MPK).

The letter can be viewed here:

I also emailed the letter to the town council to the address they provided on their site, which is found at: MPK

I believe in being active in the community in which I live. I love Kuantan, it is my home, and I feel that it's a great thing for my English students to have been able to contribute to this letter in support of their home town.

Now let's see if I receive any response! Fingers crossed!

  1. C'est très intéressant !
On voit que tu fais de ton mieux et que tu fais bien les choses.
    Félicitations !
Bises à toi Duncan et bonne fin d'après-midi en Malaisie.

  2. Excellent constructive criticism, if you are smart have to take note!

  3. That is such a great idea, teaching English *and* civic-mindededness to your students!

  4. Very nicely done. Glad that you are trying to get kids involved in their community.

Thank you for your thoughts, comments and opinions. I'll be responding soon! I will not be publishing anonymous comments so make sure you leave your name with your comment!
