This is the final installment of images of Kuching. It's been great sharing our experiences in Kuching, my wife's hometown. Today is a collection of pictures that don't really fall into any specific category, but which I want to share with you to finish up Kuching's recent dominance of my blog!

Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, family and friends

We have been in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, located on the island of Borneo, for three full days now.

It's great to return to a place to find familiar people still there, still happy and well, still on common terms and friendships. That's what we've found here in Kuching thus far.

It's great to be back in Kuching, my wife's hometown. What a joy it is to see family and old friends and renew acquaintance with them once more.

A photograph a day from Kuantan: #5 Kuantan Arts Museum

The guillotine was a swift killer, flanked by an intimidating executioner. This and other scenes were on show at the Kuantan Arts Museum when we visited in April 2011. In conjunction with the torture exhibition there were dark executioner models in a few rooms which made me a little jumpy!

The red hue is exactly how the room was presented.
