Here are some nice pictures for you. Our neighbour found this strange species of tortoise the other day and invited us to have a look. She's keeping it as a pet now and it's fascinating!

Oh no, it's an endangered species! We've got to tell her to hand it over to Pahang Wildlife Centre.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is in love with turtles and every flat spot in our house is covered with ceramic turtles we have collected from all over the world. She will love seeing this when she wakes up. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's SO cool. My niece is into lizards, and he (she?) is very lizard-like. I'm so glad you showed us his size with objects in the background and obviously holding it in your hand. Please let us know what you learn about it. And what awesome name you chose.

Wow! I agree with the last comment. He does look a bit prehistoric! Fantastic photos and I love the markings when you turned him over. Not sure that I would like to keep him as a pet though, but he is certainly different. (Notice I have decided that it is a "HE"!).

Hi Tina, thanks for coming by. Glad you enjoyed this spiny turtle!
Diane, yes I noticed the "HE". Somebody else termed it a "SHE". I don't know the gender of this tortoise!
Leia, I'm so happy that you enjoyed these photos. Tortoises bring you a lot of happiness!
