Keep Calm and Google it

It still amazes me to this day how some people come to me with simple questions. Simple given the fact that they could do a 5-seconds Google search and find probably a lot more satisfactory answers than I could possibly give!

But Google can also be a lot of fun. Try typing in these words and see what comes up on the auto-complete feature where Google suggests what you may be trying to find!

  1. can lemon
  2. 10 reasons to
  3. is it normal to
  4. how many people
  5. how does
  6. can things
  7. why google is
  8. why she never
  9. what's the most
  10. who is the most successful

So whatever you need, Keep Calm and GOOGLE it!

What do you mostly use Google for?

Questions, questions, questions

It has been said that where there are no questions, there are no answers (well, actually, I made that one up!) but the phrase remains true. In every walk of life, questions are the integral concept of our growth and advancement. Questions arise from the hidden creativity inside us, the part of our minds that naturally want to find out more about the world around us.

Questions are vital in learning English. They are asked at home, at work, at play. Every day and most probably every hour, we ask questions. I wonder how many of these questions we ask, get answers? And how many go unanswered?

Our daughter Lauren is going through the phase of development which involves inundating one's parents with seemingly endless quantities of questions. The two most popular right now are "What is that?" closely followed by "What is it doing?" Yes, at times, it becomes pretty wearisome responding to a plethora of questions, many of them often repeated. It does however, highlight the rapid growth of a young child's intellectual development as they seek to learn absolutely everything that happens around them.

How refreshing it would be if us adults desired to know the reasons and causes of all things too, just as our young ones do.
