Secret Recipe, Indera Mahkota, Kuantan

Secret Recipe is located at Ground and 1st Floor, No. B6 & B8, Lorong Im 8/33, Taman Mahkota Putra, Bandar Indera Mahkota, 25250 Kuantan

"B" marks the location of Secret Recipe. It is reached by taking Jalan Bukit Ubi from Kuantan's main town area.

Secret Recipe. Cakes. Very tasty cakes. But this was the first time we went to Secret Recipe NOT for the cakes (though we did take away a chocolate brownie for dessert!). This time we went for the food for lunch.

Yes, Secret Recipe is also a restaurant which serves very nice food, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there yesterday.

The restaurant interior looks clean and attractive. And the bonus for us is that it was virtually empty as it's now Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month, so at least we get to enjoy quick service and quiet restaurants.

We all ordered milkshakes! Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla :) Our favourite drinks . . .

Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla milkshakes at Secret Recipe

We were not disappointed when the food arrived. Here's what we ordered:

I ordered Secret Recipe's Lasagne. Very tasty and I cleaned up the whole plate with the bun

Fidelia enjoyed Secret Recipe's Grilled Mushroom Chicken

Lauren ordered her favourite Fish 'n' Chips at Secret Recipe

We ordered Leah Secret Recipe's Spaghetti

The food went down very well and was satisfying. And of course, you can't go to Secret Recipe without having cake, so we chose a piece of Chocolate Brownies to take away.

Ferrero Rocher for Christmas

Ferrero Rocher is the perfect Christmas gift. These tantalizing chocolates come in delightful boxes and are wrapped beautifully in gold paper with brown seats.

We've received two boxes of Ferrero Rocher from two good friends. Devouring them is very easy! Here's Lauren with the chocolates:

Why don't you treat yourself to a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates this Christmas?

Do you want some pleasure?

Really, do you want some pleasure? I believe Magnum has the answer. If you've never eaten a Magnum you are missing out on one of the finer pleasures of life. The chocolate is heavenly, the ice-cream soft and tasty. I enjoy treating myself to a Magnum whenever I'm on a bike ride somewhere in Kuantan. A quick pit-stop at a petrol station turns into a heavenly moment of pleasure with a Magnum.

If you're not eating chocolate however, do not fear, you can still get some pleasure out of Magnum!

The other day I paid a visit to the Magnum website http://www.mymagnum.co.uk/ and came across a great Magnum adventure called "Pleasure Hunt". Go ahead and click on this link. A virtual Magnum lady will lead you through the internet, collecting chocolate truffles along the way!

I think I'm going to play it again right now!

Meeting Blog Followers

Meeting your blog followers is something that doesn't happen very often - at least for me. We all have little square-shaped pictures of our followers on the sidebar or header/footer of our blogs. Some people don't click the "Follow" button but still view our blogs each day and leave comments. And lots of those little square-shaped images don't view or comment on your blog anyway. Which leads me to believe that the "Follow" button is not a very accurate way to show who truly follows your blog.

Anyway, back to the point of this post. I have interacted with a few followers of my blog in recent times.

Jenny, over at knees and paws sent us a pillow from her little shop on her blog and we received it a couple of days ago . . .

It was nice to feel that Jenny was very much 'alive' and our friendship was enhanced with the receipt of this gift.

Last week I went to Robert's house here in Kuantan. He's from the Netherlands and lives here with his wife and children. It was great to meet him and spend some time at his beautiful house. I discovered that he, like me, loves nature so I hope to go on some interesting walks up hills with him in the future!

Robert is on the left, John on the right, their wives and me in the middle

At Robert's house was another one of my followers, named John, with his wife Beverley, from Australia. I have since met John and his wife again at MS Garden Hotel on Monday, and today we invited them to our home for a BBQ lunch. They are lovely people and we enjoyed their company immensely. I am planning for John to do a guest post here soon so you all can get to know this lovely man a little better. We share the same interest and views of Kuantan and want to help this town keep moving and progressing in the right direction.

Lovely chocolates from John and Beverley. Thanks!

It's great to actually meet in person those people who follow your blog. It brings them and your blog to life. I now have renewed motivation to continue working hard on my blog and have a great hope to continue meeting more of my followers in the future.

Have you ever met any of your blog followers? How did you feel?

Chocolate Art

So, with Christmas over and the week of chocolate long departed, here is something I made to remind myself of those 'sweet' times...

Toblerone is sweet!
