Bukit Sekilau Botanical Garden (Part 2)

So here's the second part of my walk around Bukit Sekilau. These pictures were taken on a different day, in the early morning. I walk around these same streets at least once a month because each time I do, there is always something different to see. I guess there are many eager gardeners in Bukit Sekilau! Enjoy the photos:

I love the star shape of this flower with the pentagon in the middle:

I've never seen this flower before...

This small plant with colourful leaves representing flames of fire was a definite eye-catcher:

This plant formed a blanket of green and purple leaves:

Check out these HUGE leaves!

I first came across these tiger orchids at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and have now spotted them on a number of occasions in Bukit Sekilau, Kuantan, Malaysia

Peculiar cactus-like plant:

This particular bush with Catharine-wheel flowers has been here for the last 5 years with a continual flow of new flowers in bud:

  3. Beautiful flora shots, Duncan. I really enjoyed looking through them, the fourth and last photo being my favourites, although they're all great. I love the mix of familiar and unique flowers in this post - thanks for sharing!

  5. Nice to meet you, Duncan. I love the flowers. My second favorite thing to do is garden. Only early in the morning though since I had heat stroke when I was little.
