Lauren's 3rd Birthday

I'm sick and tired of the constant rain every day here in Kuantan. I have eventually become sick with a sore throat, cough, runny nose, headache and tiredness. I'm currently taking two or three naps during the day as my body recovers. I'll be sure glad when the rainy season passes and the burning hot sun re-appears from it's seasonal hibernation.

Last night I watched Roger Federer win the ExxonMobil Open in Qatar, defeating Nikolay Davydenko in the final. Roger is back in form, hitting the ball so cleanly and smoothly, he's sharp and looking quite unplayable, which is great preparation for the Australian Open, which begins on 17th January.

On Friday 7th January, our daughter Lauren turned 3 years old. We had a small party with our neighbours to celebrate. Lauren really enjoyed it, as she wolfed down chicken and donuts! We bought her a pink toy handphone, which she had been requesting, along with some balloons to decorate the house. A video of her blowing out the candles and trying salad for the first time will be posted soon.

Bandung - delicious!

KFC, Garlic Bread

We ordered two large pizzas, pepperoni and hawaiian chicken

Birthday Cake, made by our ever-talented and creative neighbour, Dora Tong

Lauren had donuts from us because she can eat them very well, unlike cake, which brings on an allergic reaction. Fie and I got stuck in to the cake from Dora!

  3. Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa (ninjiom-hk.cwahi.net) may be another choice. i know alot of people use it, its also non alcoholic, though it's effectiveness is not as good as alcohol based cough medicine, but it's still good to use on not so serious sore throat.
